TAHITI, PAPEETE, CONSERVATOIRE (07/30/2021) - Students and teachers of the Artistic Conservatory of French Polynesia (CAPF), Te Fare Upa Rau, will long remember the official visit of the President of the Republic, Mr. Emmanuel MACRON, at Fenua.
They will probably not be the only ones. From the Marquesas and Hiva Oa stages to those of Papeete, Moorea and Manihi, in the Tuamotus, the President will have met and crossed paths with many young Polynesians, who all gave him a warm welcome.
The CAPF will have been particularly honored, starting from the outset with two students from the class of 'orero of our teacher, John Mairai, two students who were the first to welcome the Head of State on the Tarmac of the Tahiti Faa'a airport.
Tuariki and Tekava have honored the teaching of this noble discipline, the solemnity of which carries with it both respect: for the host, but also for immemorial traditions.
The next day, the singers of the Conservatory's young talents choir performed for the first time the National Anthem at the Monument aux Morts in Papeete. Directed by Bruno Demougeot and reinforced by sublime lyrical voices, the choristers would, in their own way… give heart to the ceremony.
In the process, the young dancers from the traditional arts section, supervised by Vanina Ehu, Erena Uura, Moon and Toanui, presented ‘ori tahiti to the President, along with other schools and groups.
Finally, at the request of the President of the Country, Mr. Edouard Fritch, the choir of young talents was going to sing again, this time, the two hymns - the Himene Ai'a and La Marseillaise - during the speech of the presidents closing the official visit . Hymns applauded, a rare but not surprising fact, in a protocol bordered by Polynesian magic
The director of the establishment, Fabien MARA DINARD, warmly congratulated the students and teachers for their presence during this visit, without forgetting our parents of students without whom nothing would have been possible.
Now it's time to prepare for the start of the 2021/2022 school year WITH THREE DAYS DEDICATED TO THE PARENTS / TEACHERS / STUDENTS MEETINGS on August 18/19/20. Information: Tel 40 50 14 14 and JLIB_HTML_CLOAKING
